Refund and Cancellation Policy
contents
1. The short version
- Every purchase is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal and no recurring billing.
- Your time starts as soon as the purchase completes, and runs whether or not you use it.
- If our product cannot be used because of a problem on our side, we give you the lost time back, and in some cases a refund.
- We do not refund a purchase only because a game account was banned. That risk is explained before you buy.
- You can always contact us about a problem, and you keep any rights the law gives you, including the EU and UK right of withdrawal explained in section 11.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service, and "we" and "us" mean onlychams. onlychams is a sole proprietorship operated from the United States.
2. How billing works
One-time purchases
- You buy a fixed amount of time for one product, for example 1 day, 7 days or 30 days.
- We charge you once, at checkout. We never charge you again unless you choose to buy again.
- When your time runs out, it simply expires. Nothing renews. Buying more time is a new purchase.
When your time runs
- Time is added to your account as soon as the purchase completes, or as soon as you redeem a license key.
- Time keeps running whether or not you use the software. It does not pause when you are not playing.
- Section 4 explains when we add time back because of downtime on our side.
Prices and tax
- Prices are in US dollars.
- At checkout you tell us your country and US state, and if you are in North Carolina, your county and ZIP code.
- We add any sales tax or VAT we must collect on your purchase, such as North Carolina sales tax if you are in North Carolina, or VAT if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom. The tax and the total are shown before you pay.
- Please give your real location. A false location can lead to the wrong tax and may break our Acceptable Use Policy.
Paying with PayPal
PayPal hosts the payment page. We never see your card or bank details. When PayPal confirms the payment, the amount is added to your store credit and your purchase is paid from it.
Paying with Litecoin
- We give you a one-time Litecoin address for each payment. Send Litecoin only to that address.
- We credit your payment after it is confirmed on the Litecoin blockchain.
- We convert it to US dollars at the LTC/USD market price at the time we credit it, not at the time you send it. The price of Litecoin can change in between, so the dollar amount you get can be higher or lower than you expected.
- We cannot reverse a Litecoin transaction once you send it. Check the address and amount before you send.
Store credit
- Every payment is added to your account as store credit in US dollars, and purchases are paid from that credit.
- If you pay more than the price, the extra stays as store credit. If you pay less, the amount you sent stays as store credit, and you can add more to complete the purchase.
- Store credit can be used only on onlychams. It is not a bank account and earns no interest.
- Store credit never expires. You can ask for unused store credit back at any time, as set out in section 5.
Records
We keep a record of every purchase, payment and store-credit change on your account. Ask support if you need a copy.
3. Cancelling
There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews. If you do not want more time, simply do not buy more.
You can close your account at any time. Closing your account does not by itself give you a refund of time already running, but you can still ask for any refund this policy or the law allows, and for any unused store credit as set out in section 5.
4. Time back for downtime
If a product's status on our status board is "updating" or "detected", you cannot safely use it, and that is downtime on our side.
- We add the full length of each "updating" or "detected" period, rounded up to the next whole hour, back to every license for that product that was active during it, including licenses from reseller keys.
- We do this automatically. If you think we missed some, open a support ticket.
- If the loader fails on your PC because of a fault on our side, and support confirms it, we add back the time you lost from when you opened your ticket until it is fixed.
5. When you can get a refund
The product never worked for you
You can get a full refund if all of these are true:
- You ask within 48 hours of your purchase. A support ticket about the problem opened within that time counts as asking.
- You could not use the product because of a problem on our side: its status was "updating" or "detected", or the loader failed on your PC and support could not fix it within 48 hours of your ticket.
- Our loader records show the product ran for less than 1 hour in total on that purchase.
You can choose a refund to your original payment method, store credit, or the time added back instead.
A long outage
If a product stays "updating" or "detected" for more than 7 days in a row, you can choose either the time back under section 4 or a pro-rata refund of the time you had left when the outage began.
We stop a product, or close your account other than for a serious breach
If we permanently stop offering a product, or we close your account, revoke your key or end your time for any reason other than a serious breach as defined in section 12 of the Terms of Service, we refund the time you had left, pro rata. This includes closing your account when you did nothing wrong. You can choose your original payment method or store credit.
Unused store credit
You can ask for a refund of store credit you have not spent, at any time:
- Credit from a PayPal payment is refunded to PayPal if the payment was made within the last 180 days.
- Credit from a Litecoin payment, or older PayPal credit, is sent as Litecoin to an address you give us, worth the US dollar amount of the credit at the market price when we send it, less the network fee.
We charge no fee for refunding store credit. The only deduction is the Litecoin network fee on a Litecoin payout.
When the law requires a refund
We also refund whenever the law requires it, even if this policy does not mention the case.
6. When we do not give a refund
- Your game account was banned or suspended. The publisher or its anti-cheat can ban accounts at any time, and we disclose that before you buy. A ban alone is not a reason for a refund. If the ban happened while the product was "detected", you still get the time back for the downtime under section 4.
- You changed your mind after using the product, outside the cases in section 5 and section 11.
- You did not use the time you bought. Time runs whether or not you use it.
- Your PC does not meet the product's requirements, or the problem is caused by something on your side that support cannot reasonably fix. We will still try to help.
- You shared your account or key, and someone else used your time.
- We closed your account for a serious breach, as defined in section 12 of the Terms of Service. Your remaining paid time ends without a refund, but you can still ask for unused store credit under section 5, except credit from a payment that was fraudulent or was reversed.
If someone repeatedly requests refunds in a way that shows abuse of this policy, we may refuse further refunds that this policy offers. This never affects a refund the law requires.
7. How to ask
Open a support ticket at onlychams.pro/support, or email [email protected]. Tell us:
- your username;
- which purchase or key it is about; and
- what went wrong, and when.
We aim to reply within 3 business days. If we say no, we will tell you why.
8. How refunds are paid
- PayPal: back to the PayPal account you paid with. PayPal decides how long it takes to reach you.
- Litecoin: in Litecoin to an address you give us, worth the US dollar amount being refunded at the market price when we send it, less the network fee. Because of price changes, this may be more or less Litecoin than you sent.
- Store credit: added to your account straight away.
- Tax: sales tax or VAT is refunded in the same proportion as the price.
- A full refund removes the time from that purchase. A pro-rata refund removes the time it pays for.
9. Keys bought from a reseller
If you bought a key from an independent reseller, the reseller sold it to you and set the price. Ask the reseller for a refund. Their own refund policy applies, together with any rights the law gives you against them.
Our downtime time credit in section 4 applies to your license either way, and our support helps you with loader and technical problems the same as any customer.
10. Payment disputes and chargebacks
You have the right to dispute a payment with PayPal or your bank. We ask you to contact us first, because we can usually fix the problem faster.
While a dispute or chargeback is open:
- we may pause the time and store credit that the payment paid for; and
- we will send PayPal or your bank our records of the purchase.
If the payment is reversed, we remove the time and store credit it paid for. If the dispute is closed in our favor, we restore the paused time and add back the time it was paused.
Filing disputes for purchases you did receive, to get the product for free, breaks our Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, including rights under N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 75. If the law gives you more than this policy does, you get what the law gives you.
Right of withdrawal in the European Union and the United Kingdom
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase from us within 14 days of making it, without giving a reason, unless that right has ended as explained below.
- What you buy is digital content. Delivery starts when the license time is added to your account, or when a key is delivered to you, and that happens as soon as the purchase completes.
- Before you pay, checkout asks you to expressly agree that delivery starts immediately and to confirm that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once it does. We record that consent with your purchase, and you can ask support for a copy.
- If you give that consent and confirmation, your right of withdrawal ends when the time is added to your account or the key is delivered.
- If we delivered without that consent and confirmation, you keep your 14-day right of withdrawal. To use it, tell us through a support ticket or at [email protected] within 14 days of the purchase. We refund everything you paid for that purchase, including tax, within 14 days of your notice, in the way described in section 8 or as store credit if you prefer, and remove the time.
- The refunds in section 5 apply on top of this. Losing the right of withdrawal does not affect them, or any other right the law gives you.
If you bought a key from a reseller, the reseller is the seller, and any right of withdrawal is against the reseller.
12. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, the version in force when you bought applies to that purchase, unless the new version is better for you.
